Hiring Overview
Capgemini has rolled out a new hiring exam pattern for the Exceller 2027 campus drive. The process now runs across 7 stages — 5 online assessment rounds followed by 2 interview rounds — and introduces two rounds not seen in the 2026 drive: a standalone Debugging Assessment and an AI-Assisted Coding Assessment. The Technical round has also been restructured to add a dedicated AI Literacy section.

What’s Changed From 2026
- Communication Assessment: unchanged in structure — Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing, AI-proctored.
- Technical Module: now split into two 20-question sections — a new AI Literacy section (Gen AI, prompt engineering, RAG/agentic AI, responsible AI) alongside the existing Technical Assessment (programming logic, DSA, software engineering, modern engineering).
- Debugging Assessment: a new standalone round — 1 debugging task in C, C++, or Java, ~20 minutes.
- AI-Assisted Coding: replaces the old “Coding Questions (2)” round — solve a coding task by directing an AI assistant, ~45 minutes.
- Cognitive Assessment: now four named modules — Motion Challenge, Grid Challenge, Logical Reasoning, and a Behavioural Module — delivered via AON’s ADEPT-15 platform.

1. English Communication Assessment

Key concepts: Trees & Graphs, 2D Dynamic Programming, Advanced DSA. Common bugs: off-by-one loops, edge/boundary handling, type mismatches.
4. AI-Assisted Coding Assessment
~45 minutes · solve tasks by directing an AI assistant

Rules to Remember
- Stages 1–5 (the full Online Assessment) are elimination rounds — clear each stage to advance to the next.
- Stages 2–5 are typically attempted together in one sitting once the English Communication round is cleared.
- Any malpractice (tab-switching, unauthorised help, etc.) leads to immediate disqualification.
